Treehop puts your podcast on YouTube, automatically.
Treehop watches your podcast's RSS feed, and turns every new episode into a captioned video — word-timed captions, an animated waveform, chapter markers — then publishes it to your YouTube channel. The two hours of editing after every recording turn into a quick look before you make it public.
No card required.
Unretouched frames from real Treehop renders.
How it works
You record the episode. Treehop does everything after it — no editing timeline, no export settings, no upload form, no chore list waiting for you.
-
Connect your feed
Paste your podcast's RSS URL. Treehop watches it for new episodes — your back catalog stays yours to publish selectively, by hand, whenever you choose.
-
Pick your look
Your cover art in the frame, and an accent color of your choice per feed — captions, waveform, and chapter rail all follow it.
-
We render
Word-timed captions faithful to the transcript, an animated waveform, and your Podcasting 2.0 chapter markers — composed into a 1080p video.
-
It publishes
The finished video is uploaded to your YouTube channel with your chapters in the description, so YouTube can show them in the player.
The honest fine print: automation touches new episodes only; uploads arrive private by default, so you decide when the world sees them; and an episode counts as published only after YouTube confirms it processed the video.
What Treehop isn't: it makes one full-length video per episode from your audio. It doesn't cut short clips for TikTok or Shorts, and it isn't a video editor.
Who builds Treehop
Justin
I started Treehop after helping out on an audio podcast, thinking it could get their episodes onto video and in front of a new audience. As the founder and only member of Ribbitech, I run Treehop myself and answer every message personally.
Pricing
Simple prepaid minutes: one minute of episode audio costs one minute of credit. Start with 90 free minutes — once per account, no card required. After that, prepaid credit is 5¢ per minute, and the larger subscriptions make it cheaper.
Credit packs — pay as you go
5¢ a minute. For trying Treehop out, or a show that publishes now and then — $5 covers two 45-minute episodes.
Monthly tiers
That's 4¢ to 5¢ a minute — $1.80 to $2.25 for a 45-minute episode, cheaper than the hours it would take you to edit it by hand.
Founding members — the first 50
The first 50 subscribers get 25% off every tier for the uninterrupted life of the subscription — $18.75/mo, $33.75/mo or $60/mo, applied automatically at checkout. Cancel and come back later, and the discount is gone. Credit packs and prepaid minutes stay full price.
Annual tiers — ten months' price, the full year's minutes
The same fits as the monthly tiers, paid once for the year with every minute up front.
Credits roll over — no expiry. Annual tiers are two months free and grant the whole year's minutes up front. Minutes are debited per published episode at its measured duration.

Questions
Is the video good enough to publish without checking it?
You don't have to take that on trust. Every upload arrives on your channel as private, so you can watch it first and make it public when you're happy with it.
How accurate are the captions on hard audio?
Captions come from Deepgram's Nova-3 speech-to-text and show the words it heard, timed word by word to your audio. Clear, single-speaker audio gives the best results. Crosstalk, heavy accents, music under the voice and niche jargon can cause mistakes, and Treehop doesn't hand-correct transcripts — another reason uploads arrive private.
Do I need Podcasting 2.0 chapters?
No. If your feed has Podcasting 2.0 chapters, the video shows the current chapter and the YouTube description lists them, so YouTube can show chapters in the player. Without them, the video's timeline still shows its progress and running time, just without chapter titles, and the YouTube description carries your show and episode text with no chapter list.
What can Treehop do on my YouTube channel?
Treehop asks Google for two permissions: uploading videos (Google's consent screen calls this "Manage your YouTube videos"), and a read-only view of your YouTube account, which it uses to show which channel is connected and to confirm each upload finished processing. It can't delete your videos or post comments, and it never edits anything on your channel. Your access tokens are stored encrypted. You can disconnect from your Treehop dashboard, which deletes the stored tokens, and you can revoke Treehop's access from your Google account's permissions page, at any time.
What happens if an upload fails?
You aren't charged: minutes are only taken from your balance after YouTube confirms it processed the video. A failed upload stays in your dashboard with the reason, and you can retry it with one click. If your YouTube connection lapses, the upload is parked with that reason, your dashboard asks you to reconnect, and afterwards you retry it with one click.
Are there limits on episode length or how many I publish?
Each episode's audio file can be up to 500 MB. Once you turn on automation for a feed, new episodes are picked up on their own; older episodes in your back catalog you publish by hand, whenever you like. YouTube itself only keeps videos longer than 15 minutes from channels verified with a phone number at youtube.com/verify.
Can I get a refund? How do I cancel?
Yes: contact us within 30 days of your first purchase and we'll refund it in full; any other refund request is handled case-by-case. Cancel a subscription any time from your dashboard, which opens Stripe's billing page. Minutes you've paid for don't expire.
What happens to my data?
Treehop fetches your feed and audio to make each video, and keeps the audio, transcript, waveform and video files in storage until you ask us to delete them, and a person handles every deletion request. There's no analytics or tracking in the site or the app, no ads, and nothing is sold. The privacy policy lists every service involved.
